Decisions, Decisions

This cartoon hits pretty close to home for me about now. Except I haven’t upgraded to the PS3 to play the newest version of Madden. And I really wished I would have held on to that DirecTV NFL package. At least I could entertain myself with a few Saints and Steelers games. Based on the first 3 preseason games…it’s going to be a long season. Do you feel the same way? Let me know.

How much time will you spend this season watching the Broncos games?

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

Its going to be a long season not only for the Bronco’s but the chiefs, raiders and maybe even the chargers.

If a team from each division was not guaranteed a spot in the playoffs, then no team from the afc worst would get in to them.

I mean come on, 8-8 gets you in the playoffs????

If someone didn’t have to win those head to head games in the division no team in the worst division in football would make the playoffs this years.

STrive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene

  2. It is a real bummer that when the Broncos do not have the expectations of a winning season. The only thing we have to look foward to is next year, and that is a understatment too. Someone from the Broncos has to stand up and take the team back from the communist regim of Bowlen and McDummy. Upper management should be seen and not heard. Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.

  3. Yeah, my problem is that I did hold onto the Direct TV package. Living in Cincinnati I never got to see Broncos games so I finally bought it last year. Now I’m thinking the local Bengal coverage might be more fun to watch.

  4. I noticed the Chiefs fired Their offensive coordinator. I wonder, is it too early for Mr. Bowlen to admit he made a mistake and give Mike Nolan the head coaching job now, rather than later.

By the way, Have I told you guys how much I appreciate all of the comments! You’re the best!

  5. Wow – when I saw this year’s schedule, I thought the Broncos would win fewer than 5 games. Now I think they’ll be lucky to win 2. I live in Omaha – so I usually have to go the bar to watch the Broncos as we get local chef coverage here. Initially, I thought – well, I’ll save money by not going, but as a fan I have to watch. Now I think I’ll end up spending more money to drown my sorrows.

It’s pretty sad that before the season even starts, the cry goes out across the land – “Wait ’til next year!”

  6. I forgot to add this morning that during last nights ten o’clock news Drew S. (9 News local sportscaster) talked about a public underminding of all the Bronco fans and the press. McDummy called Kyle Orton’s injury a upper body extremity. Insted of calling it a cut finger! This is insane, we all saw what happend to Orton at the game. Does he think we are that stupid?!! C’mon now! This copycat from the Patriots needs to stop riding the wave of his old coach, he is not fooling anyone on or off the field. He is a transparent figure and needs to poop or get off the pot really soon.

  7. Calm down folks! This team will get better. Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will the Broncos be. The sun comes up tomorrow and the Broncos will too.

Besides, would you rather be a fan of the conquered fader nation? Not me!

  8. Drew —

Careful what you wish for. Nloan wasn’t impressive in SF as a head coach. I’m afraid we are stuck with McKid for at least two years. If Bowlen fires him now, the team will have a difficult time attracting future coaches. Who wants to work with a team that doesn’t even give the new guy 2 years? Throw in the looming lock-out in 2011 and it could be a very painful 3 years for Bronco fans.

Oh and Rick O’Riley is reporting in his espn column that the Jay-didn’t-call-back excuse from Bowlen may be BS.

The fans have no idea who to believe in this mess. I really hope this isn’t true. But if it is, nothing will change until Joe Ellis is also out the door.
