The Cardinals Zen

Uncategorized

Here’s another cartoon toasting the Cardinals incredible journey to the win the World Series. It was inspiring to watch. Sorry to hear Tony LaRussa has decided to hang up the cleats. He brought so much to game of baseball. He’ll be missed.

Glad to hear the Chiefs beat the Chargers in OT. And really glad to know that Philip Rivers contributed. I’m just not a fan of the way the guy acts. He’s a little too cocky for me. What do you think? I prefer guys like Rod Smith and Drew Brees. Guys who just play the game and keep the drama off the field.

  1. Good Morning from Omaha-

Tony LaRussa is going to be missed. The cardinals kept plugging away and except for that phone call to the bullpen- Tony knew what buttons to push and when.

Yes the chiefs won- the media is claiming that the fireworks that went off in the chiefs parking lot contributed to rivers’s fumble- while phillip says he did not even hear them. The Chiefs can’t win a game but the chargers can lose.

Phillip is an intense, competitive individual. I saw worse language coming from the mouth of chiefs coach Haley than from Rivers- although he does like to scream and yell at his team. some day someone is going to say enough is enough- as the chargers haven’t won a championship under his tutelage.

upon further review- the bronco’s need to rebuild the line on offensive to give whoever is the qb or running back time.

same on the defense so that they can get after the qb and take that time away- look at the lions d line- big mean and fast.Yes the bronco’s are young across the line and with a left handed qb that right tackle has to have his blind side. A rookie was trying to cut his teeth against one of the most intimidating d -lines in the past 20 or so years in the NFL. it will come in time but you have to give them time to develop. against some of the lesser d lines your right tackle will have a chance to blossom- and with his growth will come success with the offense.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  2. Chiefs over Chargers, Cards win the Series, Sporting KC lead the Rapids in the playoffs – a good weekend of sports for Missouri.

  3. Drew, First-congrats to the Cards and LaRussa. Now, on to Rivers. I have never cared for his antics.Same for Cutler. They have average skills as an NFL QB, but seem to think they are much better than their play exhibits. I understand you need a certain amount of bravado and cockiness to be an NFL QB, but not to the extent of screaming at teammates, pouting, and some of the other behaviors these two in particular have displayed. I am not sure I have ever seen either of them give that hand to the chest, “its my fault” gesture after an interception. Maybe they have and I missed it, but I usually see them looking at the receiver or offensive line for blame. I keep waiting for an offensive lineman to finally say enoug is enough and smack one of these guys into next week.

  4. I would rather have a Tebow, Rivers or Cutler on the team rather than Vick, no matter how good a quarterback he is.
