The NBA’s Long Season Ahead

Uncategorized

It’s a long season. Way, way, way too long. And for those of us who have to endure it to get to the good part, that being the playoffs, the wait can be, well, torturous. The only thing that can make it even the least bit bearable is if the Heat and the Lakers lose early and often. I had fun with the color in this cartoon. I think it sets the mood.

My heart goes out to everyone on the east coast who have been affected by the horrific storm that struck this weekend. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

  1. i’m with the rat. Thanks again, Drew, for the laugh, the work that you put into these and I have no idea because it seems to me it must just roll out of your pens, pencils, computers, etc.

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

its something for everyone season. college football, professional football, there was some baseball, college hockey has started and now basketball both college and professional.

IF you can’t make it outside and enjoy the great fall weather you can find something on tv if you are a sports fan.

The weather has been so nice lately that going outside for a walk or a ride has been so wonderful that coming back inside almost makes me sad.

Maybe hockey gets its act together, maybe not but at this point there is plenty of sports to watch on tv so hockey may not be missed. Yes there are a lot of hockey fans but sports is sports.

I guess I will catch a few “first takes” on espn to keep up with whats going on and not sit for endless hours trying to view each and every game.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene

  3. The same can be said for baseball and if/when hockey resumes. The World Series just completed a few days ago, just before halloween. If things continue, the season for any league will be the whole year.

  4. @ wm:

Maybe so, but baseball is meant to be a marathon with the 162 regular season games. To be fair to MLB, they’re curbing the season so no World Series games go into November. But at least there’s another game each day, so you don’t have to wait up to a week or two in some cases to play again.
