I usually don’t cross the boundaries of what I normally would print in a daily newspaper. But then again, maybe that’s one reason newspapers are struggling. Not enough changes. Not enough acceptance that the boundaries of what we see as funny today was not what was acceptable in 1965. So when I e-mailed the rough for this to Doug Ottewill, who is my editor at Mile High Sports magazine, and asked if it was too edgy, he quickly replied “Love it. Roll with it”. It was music to my ears, because, quite honestly, doesn’t the cartoon express the way every Broncos fan feels about Josh McDaniels and the way he has dismantled a once great franchise. So if this is a bit harsh for some people , well, sorry. But the truth will set you free.
