The Boston “V” Party
As the summer slowly unwinds and football season nears there’s still a lot of hardball to be played, and I’m not talking about the political campaigns. Boston’s Bobby Valentine has come under fire recently amid rumors that players have actually gone to management and said they cannot play for Valentine any longer. It brings back memories of the ouster of Broncos Head coach John Ralston in 1976 after players voiced their opinions about Ralston’s inability to lead the team to the next level. Ralston was fired, Red Miller came aboard and led the Broncos to their first super Bowl appearance in 1977. Sometimes change is good.
