Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs. Proverbs 10:12 As a Christian myself, I always cringe when I hear other Christians proclaiming divisive words and feelings. I like Tony Dungy, but his recent statements about Michael Sams bother me greatly. I learned long ago that I am not God, so I try not to speak for him. I just don’t understand why a great many Christians can’t seem to grasp the essence of the gospel and leave it at that. Mark 12:30-31 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
