Three’s a crowd

Some cities wait forever to get a chance to win a World Series (The Cubs for example. The Rockies and the Royals for another). They have loyal fans that wait patiently for paradise. Not so in Tampa. Fans there could care less. And it totally fries my bacon. This cartoon doesn’t even begin to express my disgust of the whole thing. Here’s the deal… TAMPA! If you don’t want the team, give it to someone who really does. I’m sure there are dozens of cities that would give an arm and a leg for a chance to go to the playoffs.

  1. They situation is pathetic. It’s one thing to have the excuse of having a terrible ballpark in a terrible location. But it’s another thing entirely to have 12,000 people show up, over 3000 less than an average TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING game (!!!!!!!), TO YOUR POTENTIAL PLAYOFF CLINCHER! ARE YOU KIDDIN’ ME? I bet Albuquerque, New Mexico could draw much better than that for such a game. Hell, cities like Omaha, Salt Lake City, Indianapolis, Portland, San Antonio, and Vancouver could probably triple that number, at LEAST.

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

I have been to tropicana field and got to watch the rays play the orioles several years ago.

Its a nice enough ball park but hard to get to and its not even in Tampa but in St. Pete. I saw

last week where, in order to fill the ballpark, they actually gave away tickets to a game. NOW that

is pathetic. Story is they are going to move the team over the bridge into tampa in the next year or

so. That way the title sticks “Tampa”.

The fans in KC would kill for the chance to have their team play in a playoff series. That has not happened

since the mid 90’s. It has been a long hard slog since then but if you remember Tampa wasn’t so good until

    the last 4-5 years.

Its a triple header day on TBS, with baseball everywhere.

strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  3. And to think they wanted a major league baseball franchise so badly, and this is how they show their support.

  4. Wont they sell all the players after their playoff run is over? Or is that the other Florida team?
