As a former soldier, I thank you for this cartoon. This one goes on the screen saver.
It would be nice to send this to all of our politicians who are holding the budget hostage over “austerity” programs and tax cuts for the rich. If they let our country go into default, who pays to get these guys home?
Dear Drew,
In your last cartoon I said it replaced the Karllis “Fork” cartoon as my all time favorite. Well this cartoon just replaced that cartoon as my all time favorite. Being ex-navy myself this cartoon reminded me how special anything from home was.
I wish I could remember where I heard this quote or who said this quote but it has always stuck with me. “A letter from home will do more for morale than all the bullets in the world.”
