Floyd Little: Time for some Fame

Floyd Little cartoon

Time for some Floyd Fame.

He was, after all, the foundation of the entire Broncos franchise. Isn’t putting Floyd in the hall of fame long over due. You can click on the Floyd Little cartoon and it will take you to the Floyd Little Hall of Fame page where you can join the cause. Todays cartoon sums up my feelings about the whole thing. Enjoy the Super Bowl and check out the blog on Monday for the cartoon. My prediction? Saints 34, Colts 31. OT.

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

yes the hall of fame for Little would be nice as would the NFL players association

stepping up and re doing the pensions of those who came before.

Some of the games all time greats reportedly live in squalor with all kinds

    of disabilities and brain damage.

Woe to these stars of today if they ever find themselves out of the game and

    out of luck.

    saints 34- colts 30

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  2. YES!!!!

If there ever was injustice in the NFL it is the lack of deserving Broncos in the Hall of Fame. Six Super Bowls and only one Hall of Famer…what is wrong with this picture. Besides Randy there are more that deserve it but he should be the first of them in.

Floyd was my all-time favorite player as a kid and I got to meet him once at a signing and I still have the football he signed for me. He is a class act and it is one of my most treasured moments as a child. He took the time to talk to anyone who wanted too and it left a impression on me. I wish all athletes were like Floyd and not the egos we have today.

  3. Drew–

GREAT cartoon. Recognition for Gradishaw and Floyd Little is way overdue. It’s also nice having you back to 5 days a week. Keep on drawing!

  4. I love Floyd. And speaking of that, I received the history of the Bronco DVD for Christmas and finally watched it. Drew you are a star! It was fun to see Mr. Little in it, as well. Can’t wait to watch it again and again. Geaux Saints, and let it be a good game! Don’t forget Gary Zimmerman in re Bronco Hall of Famers.

  5. The fact that (as I understand it) this will be the first time that Floyd Little has had a chance to be selected for the pro football hall of fame is nothing short of a travesty. I remember when he’d run for 900-1000 yards for a season and that wasn’t during the super long 16 game season either but rather 14 games. The game was more ground and pound back then as opposed to the air raids we see these days and Floyd Little was as good at what he did as anybody in his era.

Put Little in the Hall of Fame. NOW!!!!!

  6. Well, congratulations to Floyd Little who was named to the 2010 class today!

30 years is a heck of a long time to wait!

Wow…I can’t imagine how this must feel for him right now.
