  1. It all comes down to what our society values. It kind of sad, but it’s not going to change in the forseeable future.

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

fools and their money. I just hope he doesn’t go Jamarcus on the Tigers. That is a reference to former raiders qb jamarcus russel, who once he signed on with the raiders let his considerable talent go to waste, by his own choices.

His pay check is about what the royals pay the entire team. And paying that kind of money does not guarantee success for the team. George seemed to spread the money around among his players. He bought the best available players, not just the best hitter.

I guess if I was offered that kind of money to write down my thoughts I would not refuse it. I just don’t want to hear the owners cry poverty like they have so many times over the years.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  4. outrageous? of course it is, but it’s pretty easy to go after someone in Detroit than your Denver isn’t it?

  5. Baseball is a good 2 months away. Meanwhile, the two hottest players in the English Premier League are AMERICANS: Clint Dempsey at Fulham (the first Yank to score a hat trick in EPL history) and Landon Donovan at Everton (5 assists in 4 games). Just Sayin’.
