I’ve mentioned before how much I love the NFL Draft. So I thought it would be fun to Mock draft the Broncos picks and then give you a chance to play GM with the Broncos first round pick. But first, here’s one of my favorite Draft cartoons:

Broncos DRAFT ORDER: Let’s start with an over view of the Broncos draft order which includes the 45,000 picks that McDaniels has acquired in his recent trades.

* 1st Round – 11th overall (from Chicago)

* 2nd Round – 43rd overall (from Miami)

* 2nd Round – 45th overall

* 3rd Round – 80th overall

* 4th Round – 114th overall

* 5th Round – 137th overall (from Philadelphia via Cleveland)

* 6th Round – 183rd overall

NEEDS: With the departure of Brandon “Trade Me” Marshall. The Broncos obviously need a guy to throw to. But they have other holes to fill (not just the one in Josh McDaniels head). Here’s a quick look

Pre-Draft Rumor mill:

1st round: SI’s Peter King thinks the Broncos could trade down. His logical choice is with the Giants who have the 15th pick. The Broncos would swap 11 for 15 and SURPRISE, pick up a 3rd round pick for their troubles. That I think would be a good deal provided, of course, that the broncos don’t lose the player they want at 15.

The possibility of a Ben Roethlisberger trade changing the order of the draft is in the mix. I don’t think it will happen.
