History before us
“I’ve never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure.” – Mark Twain Because of the historic news we received last night I felt it was neither the time nor the place for a cartoon. Instead it is a time to remember those whose lives were lost and forever changed on the morning of September 11, 2001. It’s a time to remember those servicemen and servicewomen who so unselfishly serve our country and put their own lives on the line to protect us. For me, personally, it is a time to remember my own father who bravely served our country aboard the U.S.S. Pennsylvania during World War II. So, Today, in his honor I’ll be wearing this hat which belonged to him in honor of his service and those who have given so much for the freedoms we enjoy. Feel free to leave your thoughts on this enormous moment in American history.
