From Gehrig to Gleason: Time to beat ALS

Steve Gleason is infamous in New Orleans. Just 2 and a half minutes into The Saints first game back home in the Superdome after Hurricane Katrina, Gleason blocked a punt that the Saints recovered for a touchdown. It’s known as the single most important play in Saints history because it expressed a cities hope after the massive devastation of Katrina and it began an era of winning football for a franchise, long known as the Aint’s, a doormat team in the an NFL. Gleason was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) in January. New York Yankees slugger Lou Gehrig was its first prominent victim, dying at age 37 just two years after his 1939 diagnosis. Gleason has started a foundation to fight this hideous disease. Join me and Team Gleason to find a cure.
