The Broncos played their most complete game of the season on Sunday beating the Oakland Raiders 38-24. Actually this might have been their best game in 3 or 4 seasons. They played as a team, Tim Tebow showed enormous improvement and Willis McGahee was simply incredible. The Broncos started slow, but overcame incredible adversity and beat the Raiders on their home field. No easy task. This could be the start of the Broncos finally moving in the right direction. The idea for this cartoon evolved. I started with the Raiders being hit by a mack truck. But then my marketing director, who was watching the game with me suggested the Pony Express, it was a better fit. The Raiders have always been the class bully, the pit bull on the block. Certainly the Raiders didn’t expect to get blindsided by a rebuilding Broncos team. I think some of the inspiration came from this classic commercial. The Chuck Wagon gets the last laugh.
