Broncos raid the Raiders!

Uncategorized

The Broncos played their most complete game of the season on Sunday beating the Oakland Raiders 38-24.

Actually this might have been their best game in 3 or 4 seasons. They played as a team, Tim Tebow showed enormous improvement and Willis McGahee was simply incredible. The Broncos started slow, but overcame incredible adversity and beat the Raiders on their home field. No easy task. This could be the start of the Broncos finally moving in the right direction.

The idea for this cartoon evolved. I started with the Raiders being hit by a mack truck. But then my marketing director, who was watching the game with me suggested the Pony Express, it was a better fit. The Raiders have always been the class bully, the pit bull on the block. Certainly the Raiders didn’t expect to get blindsided by a rebuilding Broncos team. I think some of the inspiration came from this classic commercial. The Chuck Wagon gets the last laugh.

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

nice job by the Bronco’s this week against the Raiders. They come to KC to take on the CHiefs, who were soundly beaten by the dolphins. Who knows what is going to happen but I will be fortunate enough to be at arrowhead so I can get a handle on this T Bow but not break offense.

Its hard to prepare for a game when the other team changes offenses every other week . I know its an evolution to find out just what it is your qb can do and eventually it’ll become clear that with a little exposure T bow can do about anything you would like him to do on the football field. But not this next weekend.

sounds like your event turned out pretty well. wish I could have been there but time and commitments would not allow it to happen.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  2. Drew–

What a sweet win yesterday was! Tim Tebow came through with one of my fondest wishes for this football season… TO BEAT THE RAIDERS!! Hopefully, this is a sign of good things to come.

I’m still doing the happy dance.

  3. I’ve always said that Denver could go 2-14 as long as our two wins came against the Raiders. Yesterday, we started the road back to greatness. Tim, although I still think you have a lot to learn yet when it comes to being a complete NFL quarterback, I have to say: ya done good.
