I don’t know how you feel but…
The NBA season drones on far too long. It’s the only sport for me that makes me feel like I’m working when I watch it. Other sports don’t do that. Even World Cup soccer which I’m actually enjoying, doesn’t make me as crabby as having to watch an average NBA game. Now, last night wasn’t your average NBA game. It was game 7 of the NBA finals. Both teams actually played defense which NEVER happens in the NBA. And if you exclude the time it looked more like a Rugby scrum it was actually entertaining. But, still. I’m soooo glad it’s over. How about you? Glad to see it go or want 7 more games?
Got a cartoon over on ESPN by 9 or 10 EST. I’ll let you know when it posts. Have a great weekend!

Good Morning from Omaha,
I guess this is two in a row for the lakers. we were watching the iron chef??? and I switched over to catch the score at the half- I thought boston was winning. The NBA, while they pay the guys VERY well, is a waste of time. But like the world cup, if everyone else watches it- does that make me out of step with the world?
Heck, I can sit and watch the tour de france- now you want a waste of time- watching grown men ride bikes up and down the mountains of france, and while the scenery is beautiful and the fans along the route are nuts, in some peoples minds is akin to watching the grass grow and paint drying, but I get a kick out of it.
The NBA season starts in just four-4- months. Football starts next month when training camp starts.
CWS starts tomorrow-final one in old rosenblatt stadium- lots of people in town. could be a good time.
moving the cws to a brand new stadium downtown next year.
strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

Dear Mr. Litton,
I remember a cartoon you drew years ago that sums up what the NBA playoffs are like. It was a drawing of a classroon. The teacher asks a student something like,”What event happened over 40 days and 40 nights?” and the student replied,”The NBA playoffs?”
Of course that was then. Now though the question might be closer to “Who wandered in the desert for 30 years?” and the kid would answer,” The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers?”
Be well

The NBA and NHL Playoffs can last, in terms of games played, almost 1/3 of the length of the regular season. Compare that to NFL (1/4) and Baseball (1/7).
There’s one team that does play defense. They won four titles with defense. The coach’s motto is “Defense wins championships.” And outside of San Antonio, no one wants to see them in the Finals.
The Spurs dynasty is probably over; it’s doubtful that they’ll make it back there. But I agree that the season is about two months too long. Of course, I think it’s crazy that they’re playing NHL playoff games in June as well.
Great! I don’t watch and I feel exactly like that. Although I am disappointed that Kobe didn’t break his legs in several places………
