   You don’t have to wear red to come into Nebraska- They allow black, as in black shirts and even any brand of clothing that starts with the letter N-

   We still have one of the original aluminum bats- from the early 70’s- its really heavy like a wooden bat unlike the new alloys bats they use now- and yes the clink of the ball hitting the bat is not the equivalent of the crack of a wood bat on the ball.

   I don’t think the pre season mags know what is going to happen this season. So much can happen during the camps before the season starts, as far as Nebraska on the cover, its probably a regional thing to sell the rag. out east they may have Penn state, out west USC, down south Florida and just for Kicks Texas, to get the blood of anger flowing.

   Its all in fun- I think CO- will be better this year( they showed flashes of really good football last year but when only 9 or 10 of the eleven on the field are on the same page….) Look for Nebraska to take its lumps as everyone in the Big 12-11-10 gets there shot at the Huskers!!

   Did you see where new Texas Tech coach Tubberville said he doesn’t expect the league to last too long because of the disparity in league payouts. We shall see.

2. Don’t know which office you work in. But at my work place in Kansas City, there are several World Cup pools. I myself am in 3 of them currently. During the games, everyone is watching them on espn3.com in the background.

3. When the World Cup came to the US in ’94, people were told to treat it like the NCAA’s when it got to the knockout stage. People are betting on it now, and Vegas is probably cleaning up.

   (By the way, take the Netherlands. It’s about time someone who didn’t win it finally did.)
