Holliday for Hawpe

Personally, I always thought Matt Holliday was overrated (not to mention over priced). It’s great to see the Rockies get two players on this years All-Star. It would have been nice to see Huston Street get some much deserved reconigition, but let’s face it, putting two Rockies pitchers on the All-Star could very well signal the end of the world as we know it. Let me know what you think.

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

    To Mr Holliday,

Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

    Money Money Money…

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  2. There is nothing wrong with getting money Gene, the problem is that Holiday went to a really bad team. He knew what he was getting into and the lets all face it, the grass is not greener on the other side. He had all intentions to go to the A’s just to get traded and has no intentions of staying in Oakland (me neither I take the money and run!!). Good business, bad baseball. Baseball is going down slowly and its going to be a slow death much like the regular season. I listen to sports radio everyday but really dont pay much attention to the baseball(until playoffs). I only collect the major league New Era caps for outfits to wear out on the weekends (the different colors and styles now days are way too cool). Other than just that, Im lookin forward to see if the Nuggets will make a big move in the offseason. Ooops! I got a case of ADD just talking about baseball. I do like going to the games but find myself wandering and drinking too much. Baseball is not what it used to be fellas.

  3. This is why cartoons can be better than any other form of sports column. The best writer could not put this same situations into words and make it be nearly as amusing.
