  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

the only true winners after all this are the lawyers. In any endeavor- the lawyers always win. sports, accidents, divorce. the lawyers always come out on top.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene

  2. Your cartoon reminds me of the NFL lockout earlier this year. I agree with Gene. The lawyers are always the biggest winners – so are their bank accounts. I’m not a huge NBA fan; however, I hope they settle their differences soon – for the fans, and especially for those who work in the venues where NBA teams play. They are the true losers in this situation. It is for them, and only them, that I feel bad.

  3. I just relocated to OKC this summer, so I was looking forward to a few Thunder games this winter. Downtown has been hit some, but there’s a lot of other stuff going on, esp. concerts and hockey, to keep the people and money flowing into the area.

Still, like all sports teams, the Thunder are a big source of local pride, esp. since the city has no other pro sports teams. However, that’s not all that’s going on this week, Drew:

    – BCS Chaos

    – Packers stay perfect

    – Okla. State plane tragedy

    – Crosby Returns for Penguins

    – Beckham FINALLY wins his title for LA

  4. What I want to know is, why couldn’t the players and the owners have figured out an agreement would not be reached without the courts in July, and started the process then, rather than wasting 5 months on pointless negotiations? I know the courts move extremely slow, but if this started in July, we still might have been able to have a partial season.
