Under Construction

This is an oldie that is as applicable today as it was when I did it. Josh McDaniels has his work cut out for him.

  1. “The more the Broncos can keep the ball away from Kyle Orton the better.”

Did anyone forget Jay Cutler threw nearly 20 interceptions last year? I know Orton may not have the raw talent that Cutler possesses, but it won’t take much to throw fewer interceptions and score in the red zone, which are two thing Cutler could never do consistently.

Heck, with the depth at running back and wide receiver, and the great offensive line, I think Orton my raise a few eyebrows this year.

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

Hey give josh a chance. I read where Orton was booooed by the crowd at invesco the other night.

Matt cassel is not exactly setting the world on fire in KC. New coach , new system, new guys…it all takes time. they all should be up to speed by the time the season starts. The only question is what game are they playing and by whose rules. Football comes in several different flavors, west coast, 4-3, 3-4, controlled passing game, wild cat, the patriots way…. the flavors of football. which flavor are the broncos going to be????

who knows, but it fun to watch the ride.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  3. I am alittle confused here too? Why Romero? This is either a slow burn for me or just dont know where you are going on this? I get the no show part but not the romero? IDK? Was this a late nite bender with a pencil and cocktail?

On other notes… I agree with you on the Orton part, I spoke to some bears fans that were not that into Kyle. Ya know who he reminds me of?

Brian Greese?! Almost like deja-vu? Another question are the ROX looking good or did the cubs look that bad? Does the 2007 ring a bell in one of my past messages? Hmmmmmm? Have a great day everyone!!

  4. I hear ya MattG. This looks like Brian Griese Part Duex to me, too. But with a much weaker defense this time around. I’m worried with all the clutter in the backfield Moreno won’t see many touches.
