As a Broncos fan, I’m embarrassed that you had to draw this cartoon, Drew. You had to do it – it’s a national story.
There are so many stories out there about members of the Broncos organization (owners, leadership) who’ve had one-to-a-few-too-many drinks. Yet Mr. Bowlen publicly state that they won’t tolerate such behavior; whether it is someone in the front office or on the field. It’s a double-edged sword of “Don’t do as I do. Do as I say.”
The fact is, they all need a lesson in personal responsibility.
I don’t know all of the facts about the allegations surrounding Von Miller. The fact that no one found out about it until it reached the appeal stage (with the league), intrigues me. If they are true, I will be nothing but disappointed. I always thought that Von was one of the smart ones – and not just because he wears glasses all the time. I hope I’m not wrong.
3 days until training camp. 45 days until kick-off against the Ravens. I hope we’re able to put a team out on the field.
Good morning from Omaha,
I guess I am confused by this situation. Was it illegal drugs, except in California or Colorado or PEDs? I guess it could be both.
This is a lesson for all those young potential NFL linebackers out there in high school somewhere. You will get caught.
the dichotomy is that if the drug involved is legal in colorado and california why does the NFL say its not. Mr Miller is not stupid or does not appear to be. We all make our choices in life and he made his and will suffer the consequences. Like I said earlier you will get caught either by law enforcement or by your employer.
STrive for excellence, nothing but your best.
Gene
Drew–
I found out about this story via your website. It’s been a surprisingly stealthy story where I live, given the NFL’s stated policy re: drug abuse. Interesting.
My brother suggested I may like this website. He used to be entirely right. This post truly made my day. You cann’t believe simply how much time I had spent for this info! Thanks!
