Panic.

That was the look on Chris Simms face on the first series. The second and third one too. Why he started is anyone’s guess. I’m not sure Josh has this “how to handle quarterbacks” thing down too well.

It was ugly.

Can the Broncos still make the playoffs?

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

OK, I will admit I don’t know what I am talking about. Simms may not be the qb I thought he was and Orton on one leg is better than simms after 2 years of rest.

and Mickie D is supposed to be the adult on the field. whats this getting into the smack talk with the other team, before the game????

and then on an on side kick every one of the bronco.s kickoff team just ran past ball?

fighting on the sidelines? fumbles going into the end zone?

Are these the cheifs of herm edwards?

as the kids were inclined to say, “what up with that?”

on the other hand the chiefs have now won 3 games this season, after beating the steelers. Haley has now proven his claim that he can win 2 games with any 22 guys off the street. they get to go to San Diego, next.

    we shall see.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  2. That had to be one of the most ugly, disgusting, games that I have watched in a while. I just wanna know one thing? Where in the HELL is Brandstater? There was plenty of time to get him some reps in yesterdays game. I am just about through with the Broncos!

  3. Simms has surprised me also. After seeing him play in the preseason, I can’t believe how bad he looks. Almost afraid to be out there. Time to hang it up, Chris. There’s no shame after nearly dying on the field 3 years ago.

I hate losing this badly to the Chargers, BUT I think for the long term outlook of the team this is a good thing. I’ve read that the front office in Denver really believed that the Broncos could contend for a division title if they brought in a few players. What this season (and last) shows me, you can coach around talent issues but eventually it catches up to you. The Defense from last year needed to be completely blown up and it was, but we yet have to re-build. Re-building means drafting well and giving it time to develop. I hate moves like signing Ty Law. It’s more of same, desperate band-aid measures that screw over the team next year.

Let’s accept the fact that team needs to re-build. We need an NT and D-line help, another LB to compliment Elvis and Orton is a placeholder. Ship Marshall’s a$$ out of town. HIs blow up at Moreno was garbage after seeing him play like a punk early in the year. What a cancer. Let’s end the season 6-10 and get serious about fixing the problems instead of FA pickup here and there. Isn’t the same reason Shanahan was fired?

  4. You guys are great. Fantastic comments.

Matty, I don’t think Brandstater is the answer. I really think this is just more than Quarterback issues. I’ve never been a big fan of Chris Simms going back to his days at Texas and time with Gruden. I saw clips of him during camp with Gruden trying to explain very basic concepts of his offense. He finally gave up because Simms seemed unable to grasp it.

  5. Drew, I really dont think that Brandstater is the whole answer to the whole teams screw ups either. Bad coaching was a big part of that debocle yesterday too. McDaniels is showing his age and it shows with the team not getting along yesterday on the bench. Brandstater has shown signs of natural talent in the NFL, even though it was in preseason. McDaniels is a quaterback coach and we all know he cant turn water to wine, but he can develop T.Brandstater for our future. Give him a chance.

  6. что касается темы, то мне кажется актуальность будет известна только через некоторое время.
