The Nuggies are Hot, Hot Hot

Hornets beware. The Exterminator is on the loose. The Nuggets looked invincible in their second win over New Orleans in the first round of the playoffs. The Nuggets are EXACTLY the kind of team that NOBODY wants to play right now. They are maturing and gaining confidence every time down the floor. This is a Nuggets team unlike any we have seen. Strong off the bench, every player willing to play their roll, and, dare I say it, playing defense. Let me hear you out there. Can the Nuggets do it?

Caption Contest

Don’t forget we have the caption contest for the week wrapping up today at 6. Be sure to get those entries in.

Thanks for the Get Wells

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes and Dr. Lori Leopold for the antibiotics and cough syrup. Feeling better all the time. It couldn’t get much worse. (Of course it can, but I had to go for the Beatles lyric.)

  1. Good morning from Omaha,

Good to see you up and around, again. My wife had some sinus stuff that laid her out for about a week.

2 sets of Z packs later and she is up and around. You have got to take care of yourself, get your rest,

drink plenty of liquids you know the drill, but don’t forget to get some physical activity. No you don’t have to run marathons or do the Tour with lance but a little walk everyday helps the with general well being.

Love the cartoon, good luck to the nuggets, get to the second round, but watch out for the lakers and the cavs.

Like the said on around the horn, just get the playoffs over with and let the lakers and cavs play for the finals. They make it sound inevitable that those two will meet in the finals.

Have a great day, strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene

  2. Yes! The more Chauncey the better. By the way, I caught your toon on 9news…The games don’t start until 10:30 here in VA…..Absolutely BRUTAL!

  3. I wonder if Chauncey can play quarterback or pitch. I know some other teams in the area that can use some leadership…..

  4. Nice and very funny cartoon. Detroit must be really cursing their luck for trading away Chauncey Billups, he has dramatically improved the Nuggets. Hopefully, they will do very well in this years playoffs and this team is already showing a huge improvement from the last few years.

Just a quick question Drew: Are you still going to be a contributor to INDENVER Times after the May 4th launch?

  5. Gene,

You keep me going , you know that. Thanks so much for the support. It means the world to me. Hey, be sure to join the Drew Crew!

  6. Rohan,

It appears at this time that the investors in the INDenverTimes.com project have pulled their financial support of the project. The subscription numbers are only about 3000, so I don’t know what kind of capital that leaves to move forward. It is a worthwhile endeavor, but in this economy, with that business plan, I ‘m not sure it is feasible to continue. I’ll update when I have something more solid to report.

  7. Good to see Chauncy with the Nuggets, back in Colorado and his home town. Really now, what WAS Detroit thinking? I couldn’t believe that trade at the time and I really don’t believe it now.

    Maybe it’s because Chauncy practices?

  8. It’s wonderful to have Chauncy back home–where he belongs! He is a true team leader and is teaching the Nuggets how to win and to believe they can beat anyone.

Good Luck, Nuggets! See you in the second round.

    (I do believe, I do believe, I do believe….)
