Sad but true!
Drew–
This is Ugly, ugly, ugly. I’m still shaking my head over this.
Dear Drew,
I don’t know how this is going to sound. Most likely insenative but I have to say this. It just seems like after Bobby Knight bad things by other coaches like Rice don’t seem to shock or upset me as it use to. I do know if I’ve become emotionally insensitive or what. This is just how I feel.
All the best

Good Morning from Omaha,
the coach is/was an idiot. IF he knew the camera was taping practice you would think he would have toned it down some. As they say, and I’ll paraphrase here, Character is revealed by what you do when you think no one is watching.
That kind of coaching is from an era long ago and the general population won’t and doesn’t have to put up with that kind of behavior.
The AD and the university President fined him $50K, suspended him for three games and sent him to anger management classes after they saw the tape. I guess the rule of double jeopardy gets overrun by public opinion. I guess the AD is now in trouble for not doing more about this situation when he first heard of it and Rutgers Pres is also in trouble.
This from a school that back in 2010 pledged to end harassment of any kind when a student committed suicide after his homosexuality was revealed to the world.
Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

I don’t understand what the AD at the very least was thinking. Did he think that the coach was going to change? And even if he did, why give this man a second chance? Why did they not fire him immediately? There is absolutely no excuse for putting up with is kind of conduct for even a second. My question is this, why do we not hear from the players? What makes them think they must put up with his behavior?
