1. Well there have been some good managers the last few years that have had no managerial experience, Robin Ventura (White Sox) Donny Baseball in Dodger Land and who can forget the manager for the DBacks Kirk Gibson. All those teams gave them chances to prove themselves and they have.. The Rockies should give him a chance also.

2. Love the mountains with snow and the bright sun: A true “Rockies” image!

3. Maybe he will rally the team, they will do great, and he will be signed for a big contract, and we will see a World Series championship in Denver. Sorry, the mountains and the sun got me all optimistic.

4. Half the fun of going to a Rockies game is seeing the mountains and the sun. I remember not having baseball in Colorado, and feel that bad baseball is better than no baseball. Having said that, this time of year “hope springs eternal”, and I am glad to see Walt Weiss and Dante Bichette back in the dugout.

5. Dear Drew,

   In some ways this cartoon reminds me of another great drawing you did. It was in the days of the Denver Gold. Red Miller and the team owner (forgot his name) had the reigns. The owner is telling Miller to go, go, go. One problems. There were no horses in the pictures just like the Gold had no real players to move the team along.

   Now Weiss does have horses here. So maybe its not an accurate portrayal. Still that is what this cartoon reminds me of.

6. I say keep Walt and get rid of the Montforts and dealin’ Dan O’Dowd. Walt has done more for the Rockies than the rest of them have.
