  1. Dear Drew,

This cartoon is a funny variation of an old Jack Benny routine from his radio days (I have it on an LP record). A robber has a gun pointed at Jack Benny and say’s,”You’re money or your life.” at first Benny say’s nothing but the audience laughs. Then the robber say’s,”Look pal. Your money or your life!” to which Benny yells in a deadpan manner,”I’m thinking it over!” which destroy’s the audience with gut busting laughs.

What makes this cartoon so good is that it’s reality.

    All the best,

    Louis

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

Funny funny funny! with as much as we spend on cable, home phone and internet we should have a special cable sport package. We don’t. the old espn, espn2 and mlb is even included as well as the nfl network and fox sports midwest.any more than that calls for a trip to the sports bar.

When the tour de france comes on versus becomes a pay station. after the ride is over versus goes back to the basic package. cable is our window to the world and all its problems. sometimes it is just better to turn it off , go outside and live in the real world (once the snow melts).

strive for excellence, nothing but your best!

  3. When we moved from God’s country (Colorado, of course) to Minnesota, one of the hardest things was not being able to watch Bronco football. On rare occasions, it was televised here on the frozen tundra, and we would gather around and cheer on our team. I remember one Sunday, in particular, when the “Orange Crush” had lost its fizz, and the Broncos were taking a beating. My mom rose from her recliner and said, “I’m not watching them anymore. They always lose.” The next time a Bronco game was televised, she didn’t watch, and they won. So she never watched a game again. This past year, after twenty-six years of not watching a Bronco game, my mom said, “That’s it. They lose when I watch and when I don’t watch. So, I’m watching.” Needless to say, I’m anxious to see what happens come next season. That is, if they are playing at all (owners vs. players, and the CBA).
