A Golden Oldie
Here’s a cartoon from days gone by. I thought it was just as applicable today as ever. One of the things you have told me you would enjoy is if I would bring back a classic now and again. So here we are.
9News broadcast the “I Want my DTV” animated cartoon on Wednesday night at both 9 and 10 p.m. I had a total blast putting it together. Last Call for this weeks Cartoon Caption Contest. The deadline is Thursday night at 6 p.m. I Hope your taxes weren’t too painful.
Follow Me
Taxes hurt a lot, but I am very glad you are going to bring back “classic” cartoons on your site with the great new ones.
Drew,
Love it! Until I read the title and commentary, I thought this was your new piece for the day.
What a melancholy feeling your ‘toon evokes. It is such a shame to see two once well-run, well-respected franchises fall so far from their halcyon days. Still I will keep cheering. As Gene from Omaha says: “Strive for excellence, Nothing but your best”
Mike
Good Morning from Omaha,
Your cartoon expresses a great sentiment.
No matter how much we loved your favorite player, there was always some jerk in the stands
who thought he was past his prime, a bum,not worth the money they were getting paid etc.
The player could do everything short of walking on water but let them make one mistake a missed receiver
a strike out when there was chance to win the game and the boo birds are out.
that i guess is life in the fish bowl of sports fame.
Elway was a great football player and lord knows he could spank the chiefs time after time.
I miss the even the good players anymore.
Human nature is such that we don’t want to turn the page and move on, see Brett Farve.
I didn’t want to lose my job, but the choice wasn’t mine to make.
Drew where can i see your animations for 9News. Do you post them here somewhere or does 9News
have a web site, silly question, where they are to be found???
Better move on, Strive for excellence, Nothing but your best.
Gene
Since I missed yesterday’s toon, I’ll comment here.
I’ve had 2009 circled on my calendar because that was the next sure year that the Broncos would be coming back to Cincinnati. I attended the surprise beat down the Bengals gave them in 2003 so I was excited about this one. Now. . . ?
What to do?
Why did they have to schedule it on the first weekend?! I can’t see myself getting excited to attend a game for a team I don’t know playing what might be a re-charged Bengals team. I guess there’s always 2015 (unless we add more games and change the scheduling formula).
I miss those days!!
*sigh* I’d like to have those days back again plz.
