And on to nAvember…

There’s nothing more that can be said about the start the Avalanche have had so far this season. They set a franchise record last night for the number of wins in October. So this cartoon was a natural. I’m hoping the Avs can keep it up. I love drawing hockey.

Stay safe out there. The snow that Colorado is enjoying is a bit slippery you know.

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

I am not a big hockey fan. I think I have, in my time on this earth, seen maybe 3 games in person and tried to watch it on TV and just can’t get into it. There is Nothing wrong with the game. I just don’t have the desire to sit and watch, like baseball on a nice day, when there is something else I could be doing, like laundry.

Good luck with the snow. Our son has the day off from teaching again today. Their chocolate lab puppy, almost a dog, just loves it. They take him out and he just rolls around in the snow and tries to burrow into it. He says he will take pictures of Dodger playing the snow.

His wife is going to pt school and yesterday the school didn’t let out until 3. Seems most of the schools of higher learning on the front range let out at 2. With all the “manageable” snow she may not have school today.

Hey I’ve rattled on like an empty wagon again this morning. Better move on.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene

  2. How I miss the snow. Sitting at Mile High watching a game with snow flying, sitting at home all cozy while it snows outside, walking out of McNichols at the end of game to find snow falling and thousands of drunks walking and driving in it. Those were the days……

Can’t wait to see how Navember turns out!

  3. Gene, give hockey a chance, fast paced, exciting, and the players themselves are about the greatest people in sports, make sure you catch a game once in awhile

Drew, two hockey toons in one week!? Wow! I feel spoiled

Congrats on the deal with the Tribune, Chicago is lucky to have you too

  4. PS, in case you forgot how to spell Cutler it’s W-H-I-N-E-R

That game against Cincy was awful, he’s a golden arm with a bronze brain
