Hostages!

Uncategorized

Trade demands, contract demands, pouting millionaires. such is the stuff of summer. Sorry about the late post. The month of July is going to be one of the most hectic months I’ve ever spent in my life. Selling the house, moving to Dallas, teaching classes for Art Reach here in Colorado and a few trips back and forth to Texas on top of it all.

I’ll share more in depth on this later but I want to let you know how hard it is for me to move like this. Colorado has been so wonderful to me and I will miss it badly. I’m hoping to continue doing cartoons about the Broncos for 9News as well as Buffs cartoons for the Boulder Daily Camera but nothing is set in stone as of now. I will let you know as soon as I do. This move is one based on necessity more than anything else. It’s one I’m making with much prayer and consideration. I do hope you’ll stick with me for the ride.

  1. Dwight Howard ran a promising Orlando team into the ground and is wanting to leave the wreckage. This isn’t what NBA Millionaires do; It’s more like what Wall Street Billionaires do.

Meanwhile, this year in the NBA, we saw the league and players back off the precipice of cancelling the season from a lockout, a sprint of a regular season, Lebron become the clutch player we’ve waited for and the Thunder went from relocated laughingstock to legit contender in just four seasons.

Dwight isn’t even close to the best story in the NBA, thank goodness.

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

Dwight Howard has a real problem. Its more psychological than anything else. All season long he was making this kind of noise and now that the season is over he still is making noise. He wanted to go to the bulls, when they were doing well, then not so much. He made noise about wanting to go the the knicks and some guy on tv even suggested he wanted to be a laker.

A midnight call from an intoxicated GM sent him into a frenzy but it turns out his mom lives in Orlando and she loves it there so he has to convince her a move is a good thing.

Now he wants to play in brooklyn for the new look nets. Basketball season is over and dwight needs to just relax and enjoy his time away from the game. Only time will tell. In the meantime he appears to be a mental wreck just waiting to happen.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene

  3. When it comes to free agency, the NBA and the NFL are two sides of the same coin.

In the NBA, the players have the power, which results in teams like Cleveland, Denver, and Orlando getting dumped by their stars.

In the NFL, the franchises have the power, which results in stars like Peyton Manning getting dumped by their teams.

You’re never going to be able to make everyone happy.
