   nice cartoon. Though personally I’d have liked to see a fan behind the owner with a scabbard in HIS hand ready to push the owner in the drink unless they work with the union to prevent a potential shut down next season which I hear about from time to time.

   The NFL is an example of the “what have you done for me lately” mentality. the money is too big and the pressure to too much.

   the lifespan of a NFL coach is just a little longer than the tse tse fly. the average player gets about 4 years before they fall apart.

   Its not a healthy way to make a living and your chance to make “real” money is so small. A lot of these players didn’t take advantage of the educational opportunities that were available to them in college and don;t understand real life. This lock out thing is coming in the spring. ONce again is millionaires arguing with billionaires over their perception of nickels and dimes. The good new- its going to be spring and everyone will be able to go outside and ignore them. When the season is supposed to start there

   will be college football and great weather on sundays so everyone can get out and spend time with the family. The wake me when its over attitude will bring this whacked out reality back into focus. I love the NFL and admire the empire that has been built on the shoulders of the players over the years but the reality of real life have to come up and slap these guys alongside the head. This mess can’t go on forever.
