Ozzie the Odd One.
You’re an Odd One, Mr. Stench
You’re a nasty, wasty skunk.
Your heart is full of unwashed socks
Your soul is full of gunk.
Mr. Stench.
The three words that best describe you, are as follows, and I quote:
Stink! STANK! STUNK!
Follow Me
If it helps him any, he’s far from being the most hated person in Florida right now…

ozzie ozzie, ozzie, oye, oye, oye!
He was a loose canon in chicago and a bit of a nut and now his tradition of being out front with his stupidity continues.
his lame I was think in spanish but speaking in english? The new ball park is built in little havana of miami. there is a large cuban community in the area. I guess ozzie is what he is. another example from the Campenella, jimmy the greek school of speaking.
Oh well the baseball season had to add some spice their season! Who’s next?
strive for excellence, nothing but your best.
Gene
I find it ironic that so many Cuban Americans are outraged by this when they came to America for–among other thing–freedom of speech.
An excellent point, Kevin! Ozzie is not a particularly loveable guy, but at least he really did own up to bad judgement, and is willing to take the consequences for his injudicious, not really needed to be said comments.
Ozzie’s choice of words have often gotten him in trouble, in and out of the ball park. At some times entertaining; at other times not-so-much. Whether what he said was misinterpreted, or taken out of context by the reporter; or whether it was, as Ozzie said, an error in his interpreting in English what he was thinking in Spanish – we will never know, and it doesn’t matter at this point. What I know is that Ozzie appears to be genuinely apologetic and remorseful.
It gives me pause to wonder just how many times any of us had said something that wasn’t appropriate, in our life times. It is a reminder to all of us, to choose our words wisely – for they may be come back to “bite” us, or be used against us in the future. I sense that Ozzie is learning this lesson the hard way.
