Its all up for grabs in the NL West!
I was reading all that negative stuff about the Rockies in July and August. the sports writers are really to quick to quit on a team. The Rockies may or may not win down the stretch but I guess its there job to see the dark side of everything.
Even with the humorous lines in the columns they seemingly go out of there way to NOT be fans. It must be a rough life being Woody or Dave or Jim. They must be grumpy old men. Heaven forbid they be called “homers”.
Its not a perfect game, being played by imperfect men.
Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

Padres haven’t used that wordmark since about 2003.
In reply to Gene’s comment about the writers writing off the Rockies (mind the pun). Most of the fans also were heartened, if not ready to do the same. Yeah, we knew there was September, when the Rockies have the reputation and experience to pull it off. But no one expected the Padres to make the fall the way they did.
I know this Rockies year has been a big roller coaster (Yes, Drew, your cartoon earlier this year about a Rockies on 2 roller coasters really fits.) I hope we do get the NL West, but only time will tell how each team will perform.
The majority of people can do unusual things if they have the self-belief or take the challenges.
