Super Bowl Sketchbook

Uncategorized

Here’s the sketchbook I did for ESPN.com today. I was asked to draw the Steelers, and Kurt Snibbe was asked to draw the Packers. This one was a blast to do, although it means I’m getting to bed at 5:00 am Denver time. Enjoy.

  1. YAHOO ! Already a member of the Drew Crew and SO happy to see Drew on ESPN….he’s THE best !!

  2. Such insight and discernment. You are a treasure. I was hoping to see something related to your comments about the cement they played on. They have to do something about that. Maybe something related to Charles Woodson and his halftime speech would be appropriate. Oh I forgot…you were just doing it from the Steeler’s perspective. Maybe rockets shooting past the secondary.

Definetly right about the National Anthem and the banned seats. Those are things we should get right.

  3. Working as I am in Western PA, I can tell you that the entire town I’m based in is downright suicidal. I think I’ll walk around with my Chiefs jacket for the next two weeks…

  4. GMFO-

great cartoons and they were all on point. loved the game but didn’t necessarily like the results, oh well, as long as the Chiefs are not in it I guess I will watch for fun and not profit.

I am surprised you did not do anything about the the tron dancers or the dancing asterisks but there is only so much space and almost everything that could be said has been said.

Jim Rome was talking about a green bay dynasty? win a super bowl become a dynasty- since when. Rogers is 27 the team may be young but with free agency and the like its almost impossible for there to be a dynasty.

you really worked hard on this spate of cartoons.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  5. Who needs a tv when I have your cartoons to re-cap the game? 🙂 I listened to, and read, a lot of rhetoric about last night’s event. I’d say you captured the evening very well, Drew!

Here is a little known fact: The “Terrible Towel” is made by a company in Wisconsin. Oh, the irony.

  6. Drew, if a picture is worth a thousand words, you and Kurt Snibbe have summed up Sooper Sunday perfectly. Definitely one of your best.
