Here, by special request, is my Salute to Super Joe Sakic. Joe, it’s been an honor to draw you, Sir. And thanks to all the readers who encouraged me to draw this. It needed to be done.

Today I’m on Andrew Hudson’s Jobs List site with a special cartoon created just for his site. It will be about job hunting and should be great fun. Andrew also did a really nice write-up about me as well. Thanks, Andrew! Andrew Hudson was the former Press Secretary to Denver Mayor Wellington Webb, and one heck of a jazz musician. If your are in the job market, there simply is no better site than Andrew’s. See it by clicking on http://andrewhudsonsjobslist.com

  1. I love it Drew!

    Thank you for drawing this.

He’ll never be able to be replaced.

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

that is a fitting cartoon about a, from all outward indications, classy guy who will be missed not only by Denver but the NHL.

Better move along, as the Royals have now lost 3 in a row going into the all star break.Rumor has it starting after the break, If you show up at the newly renovated Kaufmann stadium with a ball glove you may get to play for the Royal. They are need of a shortstop. the current player has a batting average below .100 and has at least 5 errors this deep into the season. They also need a right fielder. the current right fielder is about 2/3 of my age and has forgotten the number of outs 3 times this year. He has also been hit in the face while trying to field a ball and is always complaining about something. They also need a starting pitcher or two. so come to the game early, bring your glove and maybe you will find yourself in a uniform.

you can’t do any worse than some of the guys, not all, but some of the guys. You just can’t beat base ball/

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene
