What’s Wrong with This Picture?
Thanks to everyone yesterday for understanding my decision not to post a cartoon. I just didn’t feel right about putting up a sports cartoon and doing one on Bin Laden didn’t seem like the thing to do either (although I did have a concept in mind. Hint: it involved Uncle Sam stepping on a certain cockroach). I know most every political cartoonist in the country has done one. I think I’ll leave that topic to them.
Today we’re back to normal (well, relatively speaking). As a treat someone sent me the link below of a brand new Roadrunner cartoon. If you are reading this in the office you might want to mute the sound when you play it. I can’t take blame, however, for the laughter that will come from your cubicle while watching this:

Good Morning from Omaha,
Supposedly Nero fiddled while Rome burned and according to history a band played while the Titanic was sinking. It just doesn’t seem that these guys get it either. And like most of the lemmings I watched some of the draft last weekend and when my wife was watching HGTV, during commercial I would switch over to see who the chief or bronco’s or bengal drafted. I also watch to see how many big 12 guys went in the draft…thus feeding the beast that is the NFL.
And with that knowledge the NFL, both players and owner, know they still have the fans on the hook.And with that knowledge the battle will continue. I write a lot of brave words putting poxes on both of their houses but with the poor weather as of late here on the plains I haven’t had the chance to get out much so I fell back into my old habit of watching anything NFL.

Dear Drew,
I’m going to use a slightly altered version of an old “Red” Skelton joke which should pretty much sum up my feeling about the owners and the players. I pray nothing gets lost in the translation.
“They sound like a 3 pound chicken hoping to lay a 10 pound egg.”
Of course even if it could be done there may not be enough to divide with those ego’s.

Don’t get me started on “what is wrong with this picture?” I’d have to pull out my “really big” soap box to give my answer. Everything from the state of the economy, to the number of people unemployed, to the “one of the six deadly sins: greed,” to those who have and those who have not, to…….okay, okay – I’ll stop. lol
I wasn’t able to watch the Roadrunner cartoon. It was pulled off of YouTube. Drat.
