Winter Blahs

Uncategorized

I know. Football isn’t over quite yet. But even thinking about it gives me the heebies. It’s a loonnngg winter ahead without it. and, no, the NFL channel isn’t enough. Sigh. Oh great season of Pigskin, we hardly knew ye.

My picks for the weekend. Ravens over the Patriots (doubtful). 49ers over the Giants (At least I can wish). I’d rather see the Ravens-49ers in the Super Bowl then NE vs. NY. Just sayin’. And you?

  1. I am hoping for the same. (Please don’t tell Mom I am going against her wish for Manning LOL) I also doubt the Ravens but, it has been a very strange season, nothing would surprise me! The season seemed to fly by.

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

this has been a very interesting football season with most of the drama being on the field. The days between now and baseball are going to be filled with basketball and hockey on espn. the days are starting to get longer. we have not had much if any snow. its colder now than its been all season but that is why they invented coats and jackets. so we could get outside and enjoy all that nature has to offer. followed by hustling back inside to warm up by the fire place!

its been a funny winter. I don’t remember being able to go out and ride my bike on new years eve or on any weekend in January. I guess I really can’t complain to loudly.

we will make it over the bridge to spring thanks to the DIY network and house crashers!

strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  3. Soccer! Hockey! Hoops! The winter has lots of sports to choose from if you expand your view!

  4. It seems that most people who visit here, including myself, are looking for Ravesn/49’ers. I agree with Geordi whole heartedly. Nothing would make me happier than to see the Patridiots with all their hoopla and Belichick to get crushed by the Ravens defense. And I don’t even like the Ravens. I am not the least bit vindictive.

  5. Drew–

Right now, I’m looking for anybody but the Patriots in the Super Bowl. I’ve picked up a serious dislike for them in the past few years.

  6. I’m not a football fan so for me this picture would be more likely me hanging onto baseball cliff for dear life. Oh but there is hockey. And while I like the Avalanche, I am more likely to listen to the NoCo hockey team (Colorado Eagles) because everything is better– more enthusiasm, cheaper tickets and more fun to watch.

But I can’t wait till spring training!

  7. Dear Drew,

Just want to say I’ll be looking forward to your cartoon tomorrow. While it will be tempting to do one on the playoffs I’m finding myself praying and hoping that instead the cartoon will be one of your great RIP tributes in this case with Joe Paterno.

    All the best

    Louis
