A Cartoon History of the Denver Nuggets

Uncategorized
Today's cartoon is from the November issue of Mile High Sports Magazine

I’ve held off drawing about the start of the NBA season. Maybe out of protest. Maybe out of spite. Maybe because I’m not really sure how YOU feel about it. Anyway, here’s a piece I did for the November issue of Mile High Sports magazine. This was back before we even knew the NBA would have a season. With all of the Tebowmania, the Broncos run to the playoffs and trying to sell calendars going on I just couldn’t find a good time to post it. Until now. Hope ya like it.

  1. Dear Drew,

Loved this cartoon when you featured it in the calender. Can never get enough of the Hanzlik “nose” cartoons. Especially the year when you had them featured as holloween costumes.

    All the best

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

I was not aware of all the colorful history that accompanies the nuggets. BUT then I am not much on the NBA as a whole . Thats just me. There are people who don’t get into football like I do and both sports seem to survive without them. Its the way things go.

gotta get me a calendar for the year of 2012.

strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  3. Blinky the Clown!! Lol. Only a Colorado native would get that one. Made me smile. 😀 I grew up watching him and also grew up in the same hood as his antique shop on Broadway.

  4. I’m thrilled for the return of the Association! As an OKC resident, we’re thrilled for the Thunder. As for protesting the lockout…why? The NFL lockout was forgotten really quickly.
