A Holiday special Broncos toon from Mile High Sports

Be sure to scroll down for the punchline!

I thought this would be a fun cartoon to leave you with for the weekend. It’s featured in the September issue of Mile High Sports magazine which is available now throughout the Denver Metro area. Be sure to pick up a copy. This one might go over well taped on the fridge! Since so many of us take off Friday and Monday over the labor day holiday (not me personally but some of you lucky ducks do) I thought this might tide us through until next Tuesday when I return to drawing live. I’ll have an ESPN cartoon up this weekend as well over on ESPN.com so check back for that one. And I might have something for the CU-CSU game but I’m not sure yet. One good way to know if I post something new is to subscribe to my RSS feed. Have a great Labor Day weekend and be safe!

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

I love the cartoon, Drew. I just hope that is NOT how my wife see’s me!!

Have a great weekend and do be careful!

GO RAMS!!!! 24-21!! (based on coaching alone)

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best!!

    Gene

  2. Well, I can definitely assure that’s how MY husband sees ME!!!

It’s funny how he is the football widower around here.

  3. Great cartoon Drew, definitely one of your best ever, at least in the roughly 10 years I’ve followed you.

The cartoon fits well into my life. I don’t want to be that kind of guy to my wife. I watch some sports to be sure, but it’s not very frequent, and our marriage is a happy one.

  4. Dear Mr. Litton,

This was my dream/reality. I use to dream I’d marry Mary Decker (later Mary Decker-Slaney), then when I was in the navy in Virginia I use to dream of marrying either Anne Donovan or Nancy Lieberman of the Old Dominion Lady Monarchs basketball team.

The (almost) reality was this. I came within two months of marrying Tanya Harding.

  5. Louis,

Yikes! You’re a lucky man. And what ever happened to Mary Decker? I think there were a lot of guys who shard that dream (not me personally, I was always more of an Elizabeth Manning kind of guy.)
