   I don’t watch hockey but I heard the suspension was kind of an overreaction. IDK though I didn’t see the hit or anything.

   the guys who do this are called “goons” for a reason. Hockey is almost split between those who want to see great games and skilled work with the stick and puck and those who go to see fights.

   Like that old joke, ” I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out!”.

   Until hockey figures out what it wants to be when it grows up it will continue to have a split personality.

   Hockey fans need to be its mentor. Do YOU want to see fights or do YOU want to see great games and skilled play. You choose by voting with your feet and dollars.

   Hockey is already on the Versus channel because no one else wants it. How much lower can its rating get before the powers that be figure it out.

   Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

8. It can be such an athletic display of grace and speed. Gene is right, they need to decide what they want to be. It’s most attractive to me when they skate and display the great skill it takes to play the game, leave out the fighting.
