Brandon Marshall: Here today gone tomorrow

Brandon Marshall reported to camp yesterday. Why? His contract said he had to. The quicker the Broncos can rid themselves of this overpaid skunk the better. He’s become nothing but poison on and off the field. Do you agree or disagree?

Question of the Day

What do you think the keys to training camp will be?

  1. it’s sad that a guy who is this young and this talented is such a cancerous bonehead.

It’s tough to say if getting rid of him will be good or bad for this team, outside of Marshall and Royal, we have no proven playmakers, from a football standpoint, it would be stupid to get rid of him, but from a “rid the locker room of idiots” standpoint, it makes a lot of sense.

Hopefully he will just show up and play football, fat chance

  2. good Morning from Omaha,

In my opinion, brandon should just shut up a and play.

Mrshall hasn’t proven he can perform year end and year out.

One good season for an average or below team doesn’t make a career.

His attitude makes his trade value for the Bronco’s equal to getting a

gatorade bucket and three dry towels.

Lets see him put a couple of good years together, and receive his astounding

2.2mil a year, and then he can start talking about trade. Until then shut up and play

    Gene

  3. Travis if we were “ridding the locker room of idiots” We wouldn’t have coach would we. I don’t think they should trade him make him honor his contract and if he doesn’t like it he can sit for the entire season without pay.

  4. I don’t think J-Mac’s plan works with out a big WR. That’s the only reason he’s still here. Boldwin would be a good fit here. He may want a bigger contract from the Cards but his is more deserving of one due to the onfield play and lack of off field issues that seem to pleague Marshall. If Marshall doesn’t shut up and perform then I think we are doomed to a very poor season. You need that downfield big guy threat for the Pats dump and go O to work. Quit complaining and go to work Brandon! I wish I could get paid 100 grand to play a game, let alone in the millions. Denver wants to love you, shut up and let them.

  5. I think Brandon has everyone fooled here gentleman. Mr.B-Marsh has no choice but to be a top five reciever this year. If he does not perform this year he will not get a promising contract from anyone including the Broncos. I look forward to see what Josh Mcdaniels will do with Brandon and how he will use his talents. Who am I kidding??? Expect lots of crying and lip hanging. Someone will pick up Brandon next year for cheap and the Broncos will get nothing in return. Another chapter in the struggle for cheap talent for the least money possible. Ask the Colorado Rockies owners it worked for them. I am disgusted and am now gonna go back to work.

  6. One more thing, if Brandon starts his crap this year during the season. Let every sports writer and columist in the United States bash him so bad that no one will want Marshall next year.

  7. Great comments guys. I’m intrigued by Raisinkains idea. Maybe a taste of humble pie would do Marshall well. But we all know how it works…it’s all about the money.

  8. Everyone knew that B-Marsh would do this, and I think it wouldn’t have mattered if Shannahan or Cutler were still here, it’s in his personality. The NFL is a huge stage, some put on a great show, while others think they’re the main attraction. I’d love to see B-Marsh stay, but Denver has always done better with team receivers (Rod Smith, Ed McCaffery, Vance Johnson, Mark Jackson). Who knows, a rookie suprised us last year (Royal), maybe another rookie will surprise us this year! Here’s to Kenny McKinley, Nate Swift, and the other WR rookies!

P.S. Don’t forget we still have Jabar Gaffney and Brandon Lloyd on the team as well…
