Brandon Marshall is finding out the harsh reality of having a bad reputation and a me first attitude on the open market. couple that with the compensation the Broncos are demanding and therein lies the stalemate he finds himself in. That said, I’m sure Al Davis would be glad to have him. I for one advocated for getting rid of him long before this. Rumor has it that was one of the reasons for Shanahan’s dismissal at Dove Valley. He wanted nothing to do with the Brandon Marshall act any longer. I wonder why it took Bowlen this long to come around.

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

That attitude comes from stadiums full of people cheering madly every time he touches a football or scores a touchdown. Its a sound I have never heard but it must be as addicting as any drug.

He has heard that since he first played Pop Warner ball back in his early days. He has been told how great he is and how much he is loved. After a while, and this I will never know, he started reading his own press clippings and believing he is the best thing since the old sliced bread.

Its fun to see the changes that happen naturally as these young receivers age. All of a sudden they, not as a group but individually, find some humility and mature toward the end of their careers.

THe economy is about to teach us all a lesson and that goes from the top of the food chain to the guys with the brooms that follow the parade.

Marshal has so much potential, like us all. and like most of us in the end, thats all it amounts too, potential.

If he would work as hard as he runs his mouth and craves his attitude he would be the greatest ever. Don’t hold your breath on him changing until the “love” disappears.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  2. Good comments, Gene. I thought, maybe, at one point last season he had developed a little humility and a little less meness. Maybe even a feel for the teamness of the game. Eventually his true colors came through and those of naive enough to think it’s all about the team were brought back to earth.

  3. I hate saying this but let him go and get the draft pick!!! That way the team sucks worse and little Joshy goes back to Boston!!!!
