Going, Going, gone

Too little too late. And now the Broncos have to wait until somebody loses or ties or goes to the Canadian League. None of which are good options. The Broncos let another season get away. Oh, well it has been fun while it lasted. Here’s a poll. And feel free to leave your comments.

Will the Broncos make the playoffs?

  1. The Broncos have turned into the Dallas Cowboys. They can’t win in December.

Time to start thinking about next year. Can we still call Cowher? Somebody’s gotta turn this love boat around.

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

What has happened to the Bronco’s?

they are still closer to the top of the league, than the bottom, like the chiefs.

I don’t think 9 wins gets them into the playoffs but stranger things have happened.

The good news is that the chiefs are coming to town to give them that feel good win to end

the season and give the Bronco’s hope for next year.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene

  3. Oh what could have been…

Well, I can’t complain too much. Mc D is a MUCH better coach than I gave him credit for when he was hired. I figured 4 wins MAX this year and look, we’ll be .500 at worst.

Don’t be surprised Broncos fans – if the Chefs come to town and beat this team. I mean – OAKLAND did, and they are TERRIBLE!!!

I think next year should be a better team – Denver needs to focus on O line. Never thought I’d be saying that…

  4. It feels just like Deja vu this Monday morning, this time the ref’s screwed us in yesterdays disaster. The catch at the end of the game was not conclusive to overturn the call. One he did not have the ball in full possession, two the feet may have been in but one still looked up after he was falling out of bounds. We got screwed yesterday! Another joke!

Why do the Broncos wait til the last 5-6 minutes in the third quater to wake up and start playing catch up! The reason they do not win games!! Period! Is it me or do the Broncos not have any drive when starting a game, they look flat and tired when the first series arrive. The defense not so much but the offense is just awfull! I vote for quaterback in the offseason, we need one bad!!!

  5. Re: MattyG

I agree – the officiating in that game was TERRIBLE!!!

Although – I did think that WAS a catch at the end, it should have never come to that. A mysterious hands to the face that could not be seen on replay, then several illegal contact penalties on Denver, but Stokely gets mugged and thrown out for complaining about it (I understand he “touched” the official – but seriously, that was crap). Those penalties in the first half setup at LEAST 10 points. I’m sure Denver would love to have those 10 points back.

  6. My take on the season: A lucky bounce, a bunker us-against-the-world mentality, the Chargers not playing well the first 6 weeks and catching Dallas and NE at the right time resulted in a 6-0 start. The bye week came in and took away the momentum, teams had a ton of tape on the new offense and the Broncos settled back to where most of us thought they would be, a 4-12 team.

Nice to see the team not give up and play a full 60 minutes. Next year we have a lot of question marks on the O-line and frankly the defense is two injuries (Dawkins and Elvis) away from being one of the worst in the league. The rushing stats against this D the past two months have been cover your eyes awful. Lots of questions…..
