Don’t get Defensive

The Broncos didn’t. I don’t like Bye weeks in the NFL for multiple reasons. It leaves NFL fans totally lost for the weekend their favorite team is off and it can disrupt the routine of players and coaches. I don’t think the layoff helped the Broncos, but really, it was the Ravens defense that beat the Broncos yesterday. That and the intensity of a desperate team. So, over all, I wouldn’t hit the panic button yet. Next week will be the real test against Pittsburgh. If they can bounce back and beat the Steelers we’ll forget that the Ravens defense even existed. Kyle Orton, not so much.

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

Drew, you are right. Now is not the time to panic. Baltimore had something to prove and NO they are not a 4-3 team. that is their record but they are better than that overall. The bronco’s will be fine. focus on the steelers and rothlisberger. You;ve got them at home and on Monday night.

Chiefs had a bye and then they go off to play the Jags in FLA.

I don’t like bye weeks either, but it allowed me to clean out the gutters, mulch some leaves, go to a couple of school open houses and wander through a walmart all after walking 2.5 mile to get a morning paper,(when I could have it delivered to the end of my drive way) riding 20 miles on my bike (have a mentioned that Omaha is flat) and walking 2 mile with my wife. And yes I slept well.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene

  2. Where did the Broncos go yesterday????? Cancun, Tahiti, Brazil??? Did we forget to step foot in Baltimore?

What is the problem going into the east coast and playing the early games? Did the Broncos have the mindset that they were going to lose, so dont even try to play against the Ravens? WHY, WHY, WHY??? Are the Broncos not as good as we thought they were? Year after year we go into a early game and blow it! Look at that awful loss last year to the Cheifs? That was the turning point to our season! Even though we all know that the cheifs turn out for one game all year long and thats for the Broncos. I had this game circled as a loss before the season began, then I uncircled it when we declared ourselfs a contender in the AFC. Baltimore had their backs up against the wall before the game even started yesterday but there is no excuse for that performance yesterday, NONE! The only thing I worry about now is that Kyle Orton was exposed yesterday for his conservative play, he was caught and so was our offensive line. The defensive secondary looked like the old secondary of years past, TOAST! Hey wait a minute was that D. Foxworth on the Ravens secondary? I see nothing changed with him, he still looked like a old Bronco, he was burnt yesterday a few times too!! LOL,LMAO! Somethings never change.

In the long run I see the Broncos (hopfully) making a full recovery next week. If we lose to the Steelers then I see the sky falling.
