Bulls: Barrel of Fun

Uncategorized

My latest cartoon from the Chicago Tribune. I love the pun on this one and the drawing was a blast to do.

A Big Congrats goes out to Mike Keefe, editorial cartoonist for the Denver Post who won the Pulitzer prize yesterday for his work in 2010. Mike was always a guy I looked up to and he influenced my work in my early years. I never got to know him as much as I would have liked. But I can tell you there is no one in editorial cartooning who deserves the honor more than Mike Keefe. You can see some of his cartoons on Cagle.com

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

the bulls sound like they are looking good , finally, again. Have not followed the NBA this season except for the occasional wondering through “around the horn” and highlights of espn. There is a great story developing in the nba between the nuggets and the thunder… a lot of hard feeling toward the refs and the perceived slight of NON star teams and the teams with rising stars, like Durant, Howard, and of course the three hucksters of Miami.

I’ll keep the nba in my peripheral vision and hope that my son doesn’t stroke out the next time the Nuggets get shorted by the refs…He’s looking forward to the match between the nugs and my sisters favorite team the Mavs! who happen to be his second favorite team.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  2. A Chicago/Miami series would be great. I haven’t watched a game all year but I’d make time for that.

I also think you’d be able to get about the same cartoon out of it.

  3. This Pacers fan would like to point out the Bulls haven’t looked nearly so dominating as this cartoon would suggest.

  4. Dear Drew,

I hope this analogy makes sense. If not I apologize. Chicago better be careful. Otherwise the Indiana clown will turn out to be a matador with a sword in the barrell with him.

    all the best

    Louis
