  1. Dear Mr. Litton,

I am sure that the feeling of Minnesota fans are shared by the rest of the fans of the NFL.

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

gotta question for you drew, farve is retiring???? I love your cartoons, but when will we know when to put the pad and pens away. is when the fun goes out of what we are doing? when nobody reads visits the site, wehn you can’t see to draw anymore…farve would be back if not for his ankle. he was like the old firedog who would run to the truck everytime the bell would ring. He’s been playing football since he was 6-7…summer means football practice to him and this is the first year he has’nt been able to go, like the firedog not being able to hop onto the truck…whatever you think of him, his drive and desire can’t be questioned. He will have a bust in the hall of fame in canton, right next to john madden.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  3. Gene, a little confused by your response, there is no arguing Brett is a Hall of Famer, but he and the media need to stop all this faldaral. When the season starts and he is or isn’t there that will be it. Once again, Drew, the subtleness of your drawings is great. Love the tennis balls. I know some Vikings fans, hard to believe I know, and the hype is more irritating to them then the actual yes or no part.

  4. GMFO-

I was all over the board this morning….what I meant by all the verbiage was Farve and playing football compare favorably to pavlov and his bell ringing dog. Farve won’t officially retire until he figures he can’t do it anymore but the desire to play is too great for him to quit now.

when do you decide to retire… my wife wants to teach till she is 62 ( she is 8 years from that now) but when will I decide to retire.. will a heart attack or stroke decide for me? Or will I retire when I can’t drive to work anymore… that is what I was trying to say. we just don’t know when enough is enough.

  5. Good Ol’ Fashioned Hackneyed retirement jokes:

-When Favre first faced the Minnesota Vikings, they were ACTUAL Vikings.

-Favre once said that Darren Woodson was the toughest corner he’d faced since Jim Thorpe.

-Brad Childress had a tough time managing Brett, mostly because Brett kept telling him to get off his lawn.

-While Brett attended Southern Mississippi, he was in the ROTC. He later saw action at Gettysburg.

-He would tell teammates about how hard trips to play on the West Coast were until his fourth season, when they finished the railroads.

Now, for a bit of icky breaking news. Click on the first story at this page:

  6. Thanks, Gene, got it. This is why he needs to wait for the beginning of the season, he is pretty close to having the “big one.”
