1. Dear Drew,

   Loved the cartoon. Though I have to admit outside of the Bronco mascot and John Elway I had no clue who the others in the cartoon were.

   However seeing your drawing gems is not the main reason I’m typing at 1:50 a.m. I just had the most curious or interesting of dreams and I felt I needed to share it with everybody. Last night I saw a show called Man Vs Food Nation on the “Travel Channel” which I’m certain inspired this crazy dream. Anyway a team of eaters called the “Drew Crew” was assembled. A team consisting of “Big D” (Drew Litton), Omaha Gene, (Gene from Omaha), The cubicle guy from Denver, and myself (Louie “The Lip). We each at a different food eating skill (Omaha Gene liked spicey challeges, I like volume challenges, forgetting what “Big D” and “Cubicle Guy’s” talent was.

   We were at a place called the “Blue Parrot” in Louisville (which really exists). An Italian restraunt and one of us was going to have a food challenge. Now the “Blue Parrot” in real life serves great italian food and is known among other things for their fist sized meatballs and homemake spaghetti sauce. I woke up before I found out what the eating challege was or who was going to do the challenge. However the dream was so interesting because it featured us regulars together that I felt strongly compelled to share it with all of you.

2. On a side note. Congrats to Ubaldo Jimenez for getting his first win of the season, Also a sad goodbye to Shaq who is retiring. Thanks for the memories big guy.

3. Good Morning from Omaha,

   Hey thanks for the idea louis, but unfortunately my family is danish so our diet consists of fat flour and sugar….its the reason we tend to die early. That and drinking a lot of coffee.

   Looks like the bronco’s are enjoying the lock out. I didn’t know the licensing of boat drivers was so lax out there in colorado but it looks like he is having a great time.

   Great cartoon drew. its a keeper for when the bronco’s start sailing through a great season, if not this year, next!

4. Louis:

   I would hazard a guess that the middle skier is Tim Tebow (notable by the black under his eyes – do they have “John 3:16” on them, Drew?) and the right-hand skier is the new coach, John Fox. Are they skiing at Cherry Creek?

   I still get the biggest kick out of seeing Drew draw Elway and those BIG HONKIN’ TEETH.
