1. Good Morning from omaha,

   I know its dry up here in Nebraska but New Mexico is a whole new class of dry. Some of my best memories involve fishing. My dad would take my brothers, sister and me out to fish quite a bit. Whether it was Buck Craigs pond or Winton Woods lake we would always catch a fish or two.

   That continued on to my son and daughter, although my daughter really did not really enjoy being out there fishing as much as spending time with me. I still enjoy fishing, but its not the same without taking the kids out there to the lake.

   Its supposed to rain here this weekend but we are still about 8″ below normal. We are lucky to have the Missouri and Platte rivers in close proximity to us but for the good of all they impose everyday watering restrictions during the summer. A couple of years ago the Missouri river caused huge amounts of flooding that lasted for months and ruined millions of acres of farmland and while the Mighty Mo always has water in it, Mother Nature is seemingly a little slow in doing her best to refill it. Like I have learned over the years, Mother Nature does not wear a watch and will take care of business in “her” time and not ours.
