Numbskull from Nebraska

Bo Pelini is a weinie.

His behavior last week in a national televised game Nebraska loss to Texas A&M was beyond volatile. I thought Woody Hayes was back. Or that it was only a matter of time before he started heaving chairs onto the field. It’s one thing to coach with emotion it’s another to completely lose your mind. If it had been my University to run, Bo Pelini would be spending the remainder of the season taking anger management classes. Not that they would do any good.

  1. Happy Thanksgiving from Omaha,

the problem is that Bo can’t keep a calendar and thought it was the fourth of July. He exploded all over and lost control of his emotions.

He needed someone to step up and as my son said, “hit him in the head with a 2x 4” He going to have to learn when to step back and encourage his players without spitting in their faces.

The spirit of NE football will live on, while Dr, Tom was thought of as a saint and showed very little emotion on the sideline- St, Bob the Devaney was not such an angel. the pendulum has swung back toward St. Bob- I feel that BO will eventually get his act together- or NE will put it on the road.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  2. Dear Mr. Litton,

Personally I don’t what Bo Pelini did last week that has you comparing him to Woody Hayes. Not sure I WANT to know either.

On a side note though I want to say I’ll be glad that this is the last game of the yearly series. Mainly because I don’t know what is more annoying Nebraska Cornhusker fans or Oakland Raider fans. Of course Raiders fans have an advantage because they come out 2 times a year instead of the one for Nebraska but the Cornhusker fans (at least where I work) seem to concentrate their annoyance factor in the 10 days leading up to the matchup and their equal annoyance when they win because they seem to take great joy in rubbing into our face when they win.

    All the best

  3. In this day of conspiracy theories I am a firm believer that the big 12 is “out to get” Nebraska for bolting. If Colorado were relevant you might have seen it too. Not justifying his actions but some of the calls I’ve seen against Nebraska this year have been atrocious,

  4. I’m in with stanbob. The absolute last thing the Big 12 wants is for their Champion to leave for the Big 10 with the belt while their precious Longhorns start paying attention to basketball a month earlier than normal. If they can beat the Sooners, then I like University of Texas-Stillwater to get the nod.

  5. Dear Mr. Litton,

Boy this has been a rough weekend for me. Colorado lost to Nebraska. Boise State lost to Nevade, and the Bronco’s lost to the Rams. Of course the loss that hurt the most was Boise State. Now I can’t keep up the “Boise State is being (bleep) narrative I’ve been running with for 2 years.
