Randy Moss: The Nut Case

Uncategorized

I’ve never been a big fan of mouthy guys on a team. I prefer the guys like Rod Smith who just work hard and get the job done. Randy Moss is great cartoon material, a guy who God gifted to run fast and catch a football. But he displays neither class or humility. He’s the perfect example of all that is wrong in sports today. Selfish, self-absorbed and lazy. Not the best character traits for a football player. Or anyone else for that matter.

  1. Dear Mr. Litton,

Why does anything Randy Moss does surprise people? If memory serves me correctly this is the same guy who people said had character issues when he being looked at during they year he was being drafted. So why is there any surprise?

    All the best

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

Randy Moss has been this way since he was drafted by Oakland. Now you see the thread…Oakland and headcases! Grandpa Al is always looking for speed and Moss fit the bill, at that time. I remember reading a SI article about Moss and he seems more interested in fishing than football, back in the day.

Can you imagine how messed up the locker room is in Cincinnati where TO and Ocho Cinco share space and thoughts?

Haley in KC is always looking for the right 53 guys to make the chemistry work. While Haley and Weiss had experience with Moss in New England, evidently it was not the right kind of experience for him to come to chiefs.

McDaniels chemistry experiment is still waiting for the proper reaction and wins. It will happen, but they need to find another Rod Smith and Ed MAcCaffrey type players. They are out there, like diamonds in the rough.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  3. Sorry Gene, Moss was drafted by the Vikings and played there 7 years before being traded to Oakland.

  4. I had the TO-Ochocinco duo down to cause more havoc by now, but they’ve mostly been well-behaved – obnoxious, sure, but obnoxious on the side of each other. Interesting to see if Jeff Fisher can keep him under control.

whoops you caught me with my “facts” off.

I just remember the story about him building a fishing pond on his land. That is what he was into at the time.

  6. It is hard to find the appropriate combination of skill and brains. Shake my head in wonderment that people are still trying to make him fit somewhere. And after this many teams in the past few years doesn’t he get that he needs to make some changes? But he is great fodder for satirists!
