As the BountyGate scandal story continues to dominate the nation’s sports I thought his would be a great chance to show you different takes on the same topic. The cartoon below was drawn for Universal Press syndicate and went out nationally a little while ago.

This black and white cartoon was an “outtake” from a batch I sent the Chicago Tribune on Friday afternoon. I liked the premise and in hindsight it might have been a better image than the one I posted earlier this morning and that was published in Saturday’s Tribune. I kept it in it’s pre-color form since it didn’t publish.

Drew, all three are good but the one with Greg Williams spinning the wheel seems to sum it up best, with how it is being played in the media.

The NFL has no one but itself to blame, the DVDs of “The Greatest Hits”, the broadcasters with their “Jack Up” and “Woo” hits and their “If it Bleeds It Leads” mentality. But do not forget about the fans who love the “aggressiveness” of football but oppose the senseless violence of other contact sports.
